Sacred Reciprocity

Living in Right Relationship with Spirit, Earth and Community.

what is Ayni?

Ayni is one of the pillars of the Q’ero culture, the mountain dwellers of the Andes. It is the concept of Sacred Reciprocity. The idea that today I help you, tomorrow you help me. We help each other and raise each other up. It is an obligation, an expectation. When we help each other, our love comes through while fear and negative emotions dissipate. So, go love the one you’re with. Bring Ayni into your life and watch it spread.

My personal mission statement:

“Helping others reach their highest potential.”

When not at home base in Southwest Virginia, I’m roaming the countryside and worldside offering Cacao and Sound Healing Journeys, Shamanic Energy Medicine and Breathwork Healing.

Our bodies have been storing the impacts of trauma our entire lives. When we experience trauma we change our behaviors to protect us from future pain but in so doing our true Self diminishes little by little until we are living a life we didn’t come here to live. When these traumas are revealed and released, we reclaim that part of the soul lost when the trauma was experienced and take one more step on our path toward the true Self.

Cacao Ceromonies

Cacao is the fermented and roasted seed of Theobroma Cacao, a tree indigenous to Mesoamerica.  It is a superfood.  It is psychoactive. It is heart opening.   It is plant medicine.  It contains high levels of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and many other nutrients that benefit the body;  theobromine, anandamide, phenylethylamine and other compounds that uplift and calm the mind. Consuming ceremonial grade cacao generally induces a state of calm focus and euphoria.  It opens the door to connect with your inner self and with others

Chocolate is derived from Cacao but is heavily processed to remove fats and add fillers, sweeteners and other compounds to make it more palatable and marketable.  These processes reduce or eliminate most of the positive effects of Cacao.  Ceremonial grade Cacao is generally not available in US grocery stores even if the word Cacao is used on the label.

A Cacao ceremony is the conscious and intentional consumption of Cacao that includes recognizing the cacao’s lineage and source, honoring the elements, and calling in one’s gratitudes and intentions.  A guided meditation is commonly used to bring the participant into a state of deep relaxation.

this is what cacao is

Sound Healing

“If you want to know the secrets of the Universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration”  ~ Nicola Tesla

“Frequency + Intention = Healing” - Jonathan Goldman, renowned author and sound healer.

Every object around us is vibrating at some frequency - you, me, plants, rocks, metal, everything.  Sound Healing is the use of tonal frequencies to bring the body and mind into a state of harmony.  Instruments commonly used are crystal singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, drums, and many others.  The participant in a sound bath simply relaxes in a comfortable position while the practitioner plays the instruments with intention.  The vibrations interact with brain waves to bring them to a lower frequency inducing a deep state of relaxation, allowing the body to heal itself and the mind to recalibrate.

Shamanic Energy Healing

The ancient traditions of the Andean Qero nation in Peru have been preserved and are now being spread to the West. The Shamans fled to the high Andean mountains to escape persecution during the Spanish Inquisition, where they lived and flourished preserving their traditions and healing ways.

The Shamans practice divination and it became known to them that the planet is in dire straits. So after 500 years of isolated living they returned to the valleys to spread their ‘medicine’ to the world in hopes of saving it from implosion. It is with their blessings and prayers that those called from all cultures learn thier healing ways.

Rooted in the deep tradition of the Qero nation of Peru, the modernized techniques are used to heal the client from stored trauma, bringing harmony into their life.

I have trained with The Four Winds Society and The Jaguar Path, both directly connected to the Qero lineage of Shamans in Peru. I have dedicated my life to living the life of a ‘western shaman’, which to me means:

  • to live as simply as possible, without many of the conveniences of western technology.

  • to live as close as possible to Mother Earth and her plants and animals.

  • to consume only the purest, unprocessed foods and leave no trace on my path.

  • to be an Earth Keeper, to be a steward of our Planet, to protect our Home.

  • to serve those without means to pay mainstream fees, to receive an exchange based on the client’s perceived value of the treatment, whatever they can afford, with whatever they have

  • to become no one.

  • to always be in service.
